Encore Eats – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is Encore Eats?

Encore Eats is a Cooking with Corey meal program that offers affordable, fully prepared meals made from surplus food prepared in our kitchen the day prior. Meals are  repackaged according to food safety guidelines, refrigerated and made available cold to students at a reduced cost.

Who is eligible to participate?

Encore Eats is available to current students only. Participants must register using their own name and present a valid student ID matching the registered member account to receive meals at pick up.

How do I sign up?

Students begin by completing a short request form. Once submitted the form will give you a link to payment to complete sign up. After payment, students receive app access and login credentials and may begin ordering meals. If a meal card is purchased it can only be used on-site only. (Meal cards are not accepted on the app yet)

How much do meals cost?

Most Encore Eats meals are priced under $5. Pricing may vary slightly depending on the meal and availability. We are able to keep these prices low due to smaller portions than usual.

What kinds of meals are offered?

Encore Eats meals include fully prepared, reheatable dishes such as pasta meals, rice, protein plates and other entrées, and other familiar, student-friendly comfort foods. These meals are received cold and will need to be reheated. Menus vary daily based on availability.

Are meals cooked fresh?

Meals are prepared daily for our buffet. Left over food is safely repackaged according to food safety guidelines, cooled, refrigerated, and sold for next-day service. All meals are fully cooked and intended to be reheated before eating.

Can I customize my meal or request substitutions?

No. Encore Eats meals are pre-prepared and cannot be modified. Meals are offered as-is only and are offered based on availability.

Are allergen-free meals available?

No. Meals are prepared in a shared kitchen where common food allergens are present. Cross-contact is possible. Individuals with food allergies should use caution when ordering.

Where do I pick up my meals?

Pickup locations vary by campus. Meals may be available at a designated on-campus pickup location or at a scheduled pickup time arranged through the program. Pickup details are provided in the app.

Is delivery available?

Delivery options depend on campus participation and program setup. Some campuses may offer scheduled deliveries to a designated location.

Do I need my student ID to pick up meals?

Yes. A valid college student ID with matching the registered membership account with the same name is required to receive meals.

Can someone else pick up my meal for me?

Yes. Only if that student emails us and both their ID and membership account can be verified.

If i get a membership only with out the prepaid card what is the difference?

A member access fee is always required

Both allow you access to the app to see the available meals for the day.

Ordering on the app (membership only no prepaid card) means you will pay on the app for the meals listed as available and it will be held for you for pick up.

Using the prepaid card (membership still required) means you can get your meal in person based on what is still available. You will swipe your card each time you purchase a meal until all the funds have been used. once funds are used you can refill or order directly on the Cooking With Corey app.

Is the annual access fee refundable?

The $29 annual access fee is non-refundable and provides access to the Encore Eats ordering platform for the year.

How long are meals available?

Meals are available on a limited basis (1-2 days only) and are sold while supplies last. Availability depends on daily surplus.

Why do I have to be a member to access Encore Eats?

The CWC Encore Eats program offers meals at a deeply reduced price and are available in limited quantities each day. To ensure these meals remain accessible to students who rely on affordable, prepared food options, access is limited to enrolled student members. This helps us prevent sell-outs driven by general demand and allows us to prioritize students who may be experiencing financial strain.

What size are the meals?

Meals are come in 12oz microwavable containers.
